2012 HopeKids Mother and Daughter Glamour Day
Once again, I am very honored to assist with this year’s HopeKids‘ Mother and Daughter Glamour Day. This is the second year that Apropos Creations have participated for the event and this is their third year doing it.
When I first started assisting the team , I did it because the founder of the event, Tamara Yee Height, asked me and I knew I was doing a great cause. Doing it for the first time, I didn’t know what to expect. I just did my usual planning. Being in the presence of all the girls and their mommas and hearing their stories just took my breath away which is the reason why I did it again this year. But this time around, I did it because I wanted to, not because Tamara asked me again or that I am doing it for a great cause. The girls and their mommas need this event just to step away from what they are or were going through and they very well deserve it. Besides getting their make up, hair and nails done, they get to take a professional portrait taken to take home with them and that by itself is such a wonderful gift. Did I mention that we had a beautiful guest? Miss Arizona, Jennifer Sedler, once again made an appearance to bring beauty, grace and inspiration to these girls and they loved every single second of it. With her very busy schedule, she was able to stop by and squeeze our event into her schedule and we are truly grateful.
