You know yourself, you like creating things from scratch. Trust me, I know the feeling. For three years in a row, I created my own Christmas cards, oh about 35 to 40 each year, to a point where I was late on some of them that I had to make new ones for New Year’s cards. DIY projects can go on and on and on and it can become monotonous work.
Here are my tips for you:
- Estimate how long it will take to finish this project so you can finish on time for the wedding.
- Have company, it beats the repetitive work that you have to do specially if you’re making your own invitations and you have 149 more to go. This would be a great excuse to have the girls over to help out for a couple of hours and reward them with chocolate and wine afterwards.
- If time is near and still not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I suggest that you find out who among your friends or your friend’s friends does well with DIY and enjoys it and maybe have him/ her help out for a fee. Another option is to find a wedding planner that specializes in this and hire them just for that specific project and Apropos Creations can help you with that.
DIY is very fun and very gratifying. We are not Martha Stewart but we do have some Martha Stewart in us.
