“I got lost in you and it’s the kind of lost that’s exactly like being found.”
It’s not often you get to meet someone who just gets you, who understands everything you’re going through and who accepts everything that you are. In fact, it’s pretty rare, so when you see a story like that of Olivia and Kaydee, you want to treasure it because it’s a love story that shines brighter than stars in the night sky over the Sonoran Desert.
Olivia and Kaydee met at a MeetUp group in March of 2014, one of many groups that help like-minded people find one another for every possible interest under the sun. They felt an intense connection immediately, and found out that they were both in the beginning stages of transitioning.
It’s difficult to find and connect with someone who truly understands what that feels like and supports you wholeheartedly throughout the process. For Kaydee and Olivia to meet and connect so perfectly is a testament to how beautiful love is, and it showed in the touching ceremony officiated by Rev. Jennifer Ashby and an absolutely stunning wedding day!
It was absolutely my pleasure to help plan the perfect wedding for Olivia and Kaydee, bringing together all of the elements they wanted most and eliminating anything they didn’t. Noah’s Event Center in Chandler, AZ was delightful to work with and allowed outside vendors, endless customization and had the friendliest staff. DePoy Studios had extensive LGBT wedding experience and offered wonderful package extras that many photographers don’t.
Both ladies looked stunning in dresses that suited them gorgeously and together they executed a flawless first dance put together with the help of Chad Lakridis and Brisa Manis of “Dance with Chad” and “Dance with Pride”. The energetic music by DJ Nube along with the open bar by Pour Masters kept everyone entertained into the night (and both were affordable!). Heidi’s Events and Catering had a huge selection of delicious and unique food options, which allowed Olivia and Kaydee to create their perfect package.
It was a wedding to be remembered forever, and I’m grateful that I was able to be part of this special day.
