Ahhhh!  Wedding planning: wedding dress, flowers, linens, colors, photographer, DJ, planner and it is all going to be oh so beautiful.  Now, as we plan the big day, we have to have money.  I know, I know, I am being a buzz kill but this is reality. The bottom line is, this is your day, you are about to marry the person you love, just know what you want and be organized.  Whether your wedding budget is $20,000.00 or $150,000.00 or if your income is $30,000.00 or $200,000.00, it doesn’t matter.  Again, this is your wedding day, you do what and how you want it and celebrate as if there is no tomorrow.

Here’s an infographic to help you prepare for your wedding day, for your new life chapter, together forever and always.

Just to elaborate on Apropos Creations’ tips:

  1. Have a budget range instead of a set budget because this will enable you to have options,  You will have the power to prioritize as well as compromise.
  2. Gather all involved family members like your parents and discuss the guest list.  Remember, the more guests you have, the spending goes up as well.  The headcount will go up with your meals, cake, napkin count, table linens, centerpieces, etc.
  3. Open a credit card account that acquires points to be used ONLY for your wedding expenses.  Be responsible, pay the balance off each month to avoid interest fees, don’t be tempted.  After paying off the credit card, you will rack in all the points as a benefit and maybe have enough to book your honeymoon with.
